I have the GT500 system with GT40 pumps and upgraded wire and lines and the MSD baps and now have a DC of 60 % at wot with 600rwhp and 600rwtq

Default Update

It was a good day today first of let me say mad props Manny at HPP Racing for a job well done . Last time on the dyno I ran the 4.1 procharger pulley for the breakin tune and saw some belt slip so I called Riechard Racing and ordered a 4.3 thinking with the slip I saw last time this would put me around 15psi for my street tune so this is what we started with today and the pulley made 12psi and 546rwhpand 560 rwtq . Not likeing those numbers I swiched back to the stock Procharger 4.1 and made 609.3rwhp and 602.6rwtq after mad belt slip . It started to slip at 5400 and dropped to 10 psi fast . Not bad though 609 at 5400 on a centri is a beast . I will order a Reichard 4.1 tomarrow . Manny said there is probobly 30-40 or more hp from 5400 up so I think we are back on track now. If I get 650/610 on the pump gas tune with a 4.1 then I see no reson why I cant get 700 - 750 or more on the 3.9 with 100 oct. . All I can say is WOW I am very excited now . All of thes pulls were set for 6500 rpm on the dyno and before anyone says anything about the af on the final pull it was a mishap by the dyno the af is good or the power would have suffered at that point. I really can say that after all the BS with the fuel system I am glad I went the way I did with the MSD BAPs becouse through all of these pulls today the DC before and after boost was a rock solid 60 % at wot on all of the pulls today so after seeing that I fell like this fuel setup will take the car where I am going to go with the car.

Default FFW test and tune

WOW! What a day went out to FFW by myself to get a feel for the car and man the the first pass in2nd scared the **** out of me it pulled so hard I felt dizzy LOL! First pass I did not try to really run the car all out as I was unsure if the new 305/35/20 Nitto DRs were going to hit the fender or not so I was very nervous about the launch so I set the D-Specs at full firm to help and man no problem at all 1.66 60ft 7.08 1/8 and flt weird at the end so I lifted and ran 11.13 at 110 . Next time out Inext time out I ran it a little harder and cam up with a 1.60 60ft ,6.83 1/8 at 101.43 , and a10.77 at 123.17. Then finaly a little more at ease with the car (remember ists been 2 years) I went out and ran a 1.6 60ft, 6.80 1/8 at 101.76, and 10.75 at 123.71 1/4 but this time I dataloged the run and the car still needs some trans tunning 1/2 is shifting at 6500 then 2/3 at 6200 and 3/ at 6200 also with the taller tire (28") my 3:73s I am only traping at 5900 so these gears to me are to high for this tire . I never thought I would say it but I think the 4:10 s in my attic would have worked well today even with the 5r55s and the tall tire . One thing I have to remember though is this is my street tune and this combo may work very well on the street to help stop the spin. Oh and so everyone knows this was all in FULL street trim 20" wheels, 28" tire and a full tank of fuel as I wanted it all like it would be on the road , So all in all it was a fun day but the street tune still needs some work to get all the potential out of this car. Oh and by the way the first run made my hand shake for 30 min., GOTTA LOVE THAT FEELING!

Well it is amazing how 24 hrs can change things . First of the good things from FFW best r/t .011, best 60ft 1.58 ,best 1/8 6.8 at 102mph, best 1/4 10.75 at 124mph . Well after all of this I realize the converter is still locked in 4th from the last dyno run (I never loaded the program after the dyno) and I just backed off the dyno and loaded it up, so that explains the lack of pull in 4th gear and the low et and mph for the begining times I really fell this had I lot more to give .

Then came Sat. Man what a bummer first run ran 10.98 at 113 mph WTF.
Next run shifted the car myself and hit the rev limiter at 7000 and bam the damn moter let loose broke a piston an ruined some valves . The head can most likely be fixed but the cylinder is hit pretty hard and I dont think it can be repaired. About half of my valve guides are practicly gone in the intake and exhaust ports . Would love to here some Ideas on what happened if anyone knows! Here are some pics 2 of the damage and one of the other cylinders to show what all the others look like.

Also here is a video of the pass before it blew . Thanks Doc .

I dont think it went lean the peice that is missing broke off ,it did not burn off . I think the piston hit the valve do to the cam timming being off thus the reson for the poo12 code sometimes. This car was not lean in any way shape or form. It just broke.
