? about headers for 06 mustang gt

RE: ? about headers for 06 mustang gt
OBX Longtubes off ebay with two H-Pipes (one with Bullet Mufflers not real Cats!) and one regular Off-Road.
They are about $480. This is the cheapest you will find anything that really works.
These are Chinese Splashes of JBA's. Some guys have had good success with them.
I will leave the politics out of this since that is a highly personal issue.
They might add 10-15 rwhp and 15 lb-ft of torque. The headers themselves mostly improve midrange torque.
Over half the hp gain is from the H-Pipe.
I have seen JBA LT's for $500 but you will have to fab your own H/X Pipe.
These cars do not have tubular headers they have iron manifolds but they are very good.
The best Shorties add something like 1-3 rwhp over the factory manifolds.
The best bang for the buck mod in the exhaust is the Pypes Off-Road X or H. You can get them from Brenspeed with free shipping.
Of course that assumes you have no emissions inspection. They give about 4-8 rwhp depending on who you ask.
Since you are new I will point out a Mailorder Tune from someone like BamaChips, Brenspeed, or VMP Tuning and a CAI are the best
bang for the buck mods. On these cars the MAF Tube is included in the Stock Airbox Lid and the aftermarket CAI's.
A JLTII CAI and BamaChips Mailorder Tune Dropped my ET by 4/10 and picked up my trapsby 3 mph.
They only give about 20 rwhp but the big gain is from the extended rpm range and improved throttle pickup on launch and gear changes (factory PCM has throttle rate limiting).
A well driven CAI/Tune Car can dip into the 12's on stock tires. That usually takes a 1.85-2.03 60' depending on conditions.
