I hate rain! I mean i really, really hate it. So much so that i've considered moving to the desert.

It sounds like your throttle body might not be working right. I wish these cars had a throttle cable. The car should idle fine cold and run fine, unless there's a tune or mechanical problem.

The car is still running ridiculously rough when cold. So rough, it struggles to gain RPM, barely if at all responds to throttle input. Like the engine is on the verge of flooding and stalling.

It drives a whole lot better once up to operating temp. But now that I'm more atuned (that was a pun) to how its behaving I think I sense it isn't as responsive as it should be (though not bad) when not in boost. During boost, it can't help but be responsive.

While driving I got a P2198 02 Sensor Signal Stuck Rich (Bank 2 Sensor 1). Actually got that twice today.

Wonder if its running insanely rich the whole time. Can it be so rich prior to warmup that it just about floods the engine?

Running rich is not good for a lot of parts. I'm sure tomorrow's dyno tune will fix this problem.

I got a phone call from Jim Sr @ JDM this afternoon. He is interested and determined to get me a a good tune. We're going to work on it (remotely) tomorrow. So I'll have to reschedule the dyno time.

No dyno tune, at least not yet. I don't really want a dyno tune from a shop that has never seen an E-Force before. My plan for the semi-local dyno shop is just to inspect the install, run some diagnostics to confirm everything, and get a pull or two in.

The problem might be as simple as that there are apparently 2 different kinds of CAI kits for the E-Force and I might have been tuned for the wrong one. We'll see.

No.

Primary problem is inadequate attention from JDM, in my opinion. End of day 11 into the install and now they're telling me the tune they gave me is programmed for a different MAF. WTF? I bought a packaged kit that they promote. They don't already have a tune for this config?

At the moment, I'm 2nd place to a trailer that is getting ready to go to a show somewhere.

If I did it again, it would be Whipple all the way. Tried, true, and everybody knows how to install & tune them. And they probably don't even ship with misthreaded bolt holes and bad throttle bodies.

Shane, sorry to hear you are still having issues. Hopefully JDM will step up and make it right!

Bruce, from my own experience, Tillman is not necessarily any better as they are yet another small shop that can do awesome things to your car when you have it in your shop... but when it comes to helping mail order customers, they too have way too much on thier plate and can be less than responsive. Don't ask me how I know

Whew...finally getting somewhere. I got a tune this morning that seems to work. The car runs really well.
