Wow, this is just so familiar sounding.........I had to get a custom tune and new TB spring to clear all my codes.

Wow, just read through the whole thread, sorry about your hang ups, those can be frustrating. There was a few times during the whipple install that every second word out of my mouth started with an F--- or C---. Once it's done all the little frustrations melt away in the wonderful thrust hurdling you through space and time.

Funny about SOS pod, my gauges fit so tighlt I can't get them back out. I put 2 in slightly crooked and the only way to fix that is to push them out from the rear. I said screw it, not worth the bother, they are straight enough.

WE HAVE IGNITION!!!

WE ARE GO FOR LAUNCH!!!!

No CEL's. Ran pretty damn rough on cold start. Acted like it was gonna stall 2-3 times. Sound like it was choking as I gave it some gas. Then the warmer it got, the normal it behaved.

Here goes the maiden voyage....

Its always something. The streets are wet.

But the car drives great. Seems like your basic CAI & tune when not in boost. In the rain, I could only hit boost about a half second before letting off. I can tell there is a monster under the hood screaming (whining actually, LOL) to get out!!

Totally thrilled right now just to have the car running smoothly with no CEL's. Got my fingers crossed on cold starts getting better as the computer learns.

Nice!

It's raining here too. The south is getting the wet stuff big time.

Cool man, when I picked up my car from the shop after the Vortech install, it was raining. That is the only time the car has ever been in the rain, actually. Anyhow, its funny how that works out, eh? Grats on the install!

The streets are dry and I took the car out this morning. Runs very very rough when cold. Slow to rev. Idle was much better than the 1st cold start yesterday.

I tried driving it cold. Ouch. Not much power at all. I'm not talking how-fast-is-it-power. I'm talking about normal driving. Rev to 3000 rpm to get moving from 1st. Like driving a car with a huge cam and 3.31 gears plus the car sounds like its choking.

But once its warm it drove like a champ. Rolling start in 1st and punch it? Forget it. Spin-o-ramma. Car has lots of jump. I kept it below 3500-4000 rpm too (waiting for dyno to confirm the car is tuned right).

Will talk to JDM of course about the cold start.
