...hit a showstopper snag

:icon_ rant:: icon_rant:

.....and it looks like it might be mid-late next week at the earliest before I can get another one of these.

Ah shipping damage. Gotta love it. It's worse when it's of an item that's critical. Like for me, I had TWO IN A ROW damaged alternators and it took a week for each to show up. :/

Maybe you can just bend that part back for now? Then replace it when the new one comes in?

Can you fix it or is there a crack somewhere? Does not look too terminal from several hundred miles away.

Calling E-Force people....

The 3/4" inch hose that connects to the driver side of the intercooler. Where is the other end of it supposed to go?

It is routed back towards the firewall then down to the drivers side of the lower intercooler radiator behind the bumper. The passenger side outlet goes to the reservoir then from their to the pump then to the passenger side of the lower intercooler radiator behind the bumper. I never looked at mine before but now wonder why it goes back then forward....

Whew...got the first connector re-pinning done. I did it and I still don't know how that damn tab worked. I didn't see any tab. I just stuck a small pick under fat metal side of the connector (not inside it) and wiggled the pic around while somebody else pulled the wire. Came out easy.

Prior to that I tried all sorts of crap including prying on the place where I later had success just wiggling the pic.

Found the tabs and have all connectors & wires re-pinned. I did some stuff slightly differently than the instructions (like removing the wedge lock completely)...pics later. I was able to see the plastic tab. Man, this is easy.... I'm a connector pin champion!

On cruise control now.

Anybody got a clue on how to get a heater hose connector off the firewall?

I can see how the connector works. but the things I need to squeeze are up against the firewall with no space to get my fingers into. I'm trying to press with a right-angled pick. I think I have the top tab pressed in. The bottom tab can't be seen and is REALLY difficult for me.
