I don't think the 'average' stang owner does much work on their own car to be honest. The fact that you're even on this forum separates you from the pack . If you and your dad feel comfortable with the install instructions, go for it. A lift is nice, but not needed really so long as you don't mind a hard ground.

A turbo kit would be nice, but keep the boost/power somewhat conservative unless you're financially prepared to replace the rotating assembly. It may hold forever, or it may hold for a month.

Albeit is one word btw .

So if the HP limitations on the stock block are about 500, I guess I should be lookin at the cheapest way to gt to 500?

After some addin and a bit of research I think a turbo is the best way to go.

How do you get past 500? I think the block its self is rated into the 800s, what parts are holdin it back?

You really shouldnt be using the word "cheapest" when it comes to going FI. You really have to be prepared for some big money fixes cause sh#t goes boom.

Ill give ya that, but 5 grand is "cheaper" than 8 grand. But ill say most cost efficient.
