surprising race
I don't doubt a heads/cam 2V can run 12s, with DRs, gears, bolt ons, etc. The thing is, the OP's Mach is high 12 capable with his mods and DRs. From a roll, its not going to be a landslide in either direction. I'm no expert on 2Vs, but I do know that there are no great 2v heads out there, better than stock yea, but not worth the $$ per HP imo. Cams give a 2v what, 20-30 rwhp? Educate me if I'm wrong man.
Soldier, you've got a 12 sec car because of your cams AND all the other bolt-ons you've got. The cams alone can't do it.
iMTB, I'm not calling BS on a 55rwhp gain, but that sounds pretty high. Do you have any articles or links about those cams? When I had my GTO, I was going to cam it and my tuner said that 40rwhp was about it for a street/strip cam. That was on an LS1 which is supposed to get a good bit more gain from a cam(s) than a 2V.

Jmac, 55rwhp from a cam on a 2V isn't a bit high, its flat out ridiculous. On a good day 20-25rwhp is what it'll gain. Heads help the 2v, but it still isn't going to outflow a 4V. Hell, we can't even get a aftermarket head that flows much better than the stock ones. They're are some better ones, but not worth it, imo.
In other words, a H/C 2V needs those two mods just to get close to a Mach. A H/C 2V may hit a high 12, but its still going to have to have at least DRs as well to do it.
