after my car has sat for a few hours, like over night or something, it has a problem starting. it cranks over like its supposed to, but right before it fires up, it stalls for a split second than starts very rough. it hasnt been real cold or anything lately so thats not the problem. someone said it might be the battery so i changed it, but that wasnt it. is it maybe the fuel filter? any ideas would be appreciated.
yeah, i'm holding the key long enough. sometimes its for too long because the starter makes that grinding noise. i cant have it hooked up to the computer because the service engine light isnt on.
can't say I've heard of or read on here of that problem before. Really sounds like one of those process-of-elimination pain-in-the-butt problems. I'd say start with checking all of the plugs and coil packs would be a simple start. Best of luck.
ive had a problem kinda like that but its just because sometimes i dont hold the key down long enough but ive never had any problem with it not starting or making grinding sounds
