I agree. The USB jack first showed up on the 2010 models, by the way.

I would say the new engine more than makes up for it. I can't even remember the last time I used mine.

Damn.. thats sucks to hear! To be honest, I make occasional trips from Socal to Fresno, and I can never go through more then one MP3 CD. I get about 6-albums per CD and at some point I get sick of music and want some radio. One is enough, and its probably a good idea to go digital and pick up a decent IPOD like rest of society. PS. I believe my cell phone has full IPOD capabilities anyway.

I prefer flash drives and iPods over CDs myself.

But you would be amazed at how many of my friends still play music tape cassettes in their cars.
