I agree with Mr Rogers and would like to add that the suspension on modern cars does not "wear out" at 50k. My SS is still on the original shocks and with only lower control arms, pan hard bar and drag radials it pulled a 1.54 60 foot. Of course if the car was a beat up pile of crap then yes it could be worn out but in my experiance people who spend the extra $$ for an SS tend to keep them up and not let them turn into junk. When was the last time you saw a car like an SS or Cobra that dirty and beat looking?

lol good story, not sure a low-13, high 12 second car has much to be afraid of though. does the setup sound nice, not just loud? loud is one thing, its gotta have a good tone and rumble too.
could an 05 GT with CAI, tune, 4.10's and DR's take an LS1?

Easily. Stock for stock it's pretty close. Hell, the drag radials alone might be enough.

No it doesnt. Stock for stock, with everything being equal, including drivers, the F-bodies are still ahead of the GT's. The DR's, gears, and such would get you up there though with a stock LS1 and i would tend to give the race to you. So yeah i would say you could take a stock LS1. But a moded LS1 ofcourse it would depend on the mods.

No GRN N GRY I was replying to the TommyV8 saying that they are about equal now.
You where correct in saying that they didnt have a chance stock vs stock. Ofcourse on the street and track you never know, but with all things being equal, a mustang GT will lose to an F-body, if we are talking about stock vehicles.
