LS1 guys
ORIGINAL: V6yellowStang
Actually C6 I've found quite a few at the 30k range and a few 01s at the sub 30K level. Hopefully the price will drop a grand or two with the market by Nov or Dec, we'll see.
Besides the Hp and TQ, what was the major diff. b/w the 01 and 02 models?

Maybe I posted in the wrong section or something. I posted in the LS1-LS6 internal engines section.
What type of suspension does he have?
I do realize I am talking to three people in the reply, but what the hey, you guys are smart enough to figure it out.

That's cool. The TH400 is a sweet Tranny. I have the stock one in my 75 vette. I like to use Manuals b/c I like to keep Human err involved as much as possible. If I got the Z06 from 02 that's 405Hp and 3.90 rear gear right?
Oh, and yeah it is pretty bad that a mustang forum can give me better and quicker answers on a LS1 engine than LS1Tech can. There is still no answer with over 20 views. Go figure.

Tell me about it. I post on LS1Tech.com and yet to receive an answer. I post on DigitalCorvettes and get told to F/I that is the only way to get 55 more Hp out of the LS1. I post here and within minutes get a detailed response on what I should do, so yeah the other forums worked. If your taking Off-Topic, been there and was informed to try S/S b/c that is where the LS1 boys hang out. So that's how I ended up here. I tried LS1 forums first and relied on my crew here at MF. Who would know the LS1 better than the Arch-Rival.

You knew what the thread was about and yet you still choose to read it and comment. Bottom line is this, if you don't like how we run this forum, then leave, it's not like you actually help out in the tech sections, all you ever do is bitch in the S&S section.

The ZO6 is the champ in that department. 25mpg on a 505hp motor. 26mpg
Well since the Corvette is'nt really designed for drag races I can see why GM installed a shallow gear. The A6 has a lower first gear ratio than the Z51M6 so its not all that bad.
GM's Camaros was the niche in the drag racing dept. .

I've heard good things about that 6-speed auto. GM is pretty good at combining MPG with performance.

All six speed (M6) cars come with 3.42's. Auto's (A4) cars come with 2.73's or 3.23's. You can find out what you have by looking on your door panel. GU2 is 2.73 and GU5 is 3.23 I believe. It may be the opposite way, but it's easy to find out.
