That's cool. Hopefully when I get it I can contribute to the LS1/Mustang race threads. Hopefully I wont be on the losing end too much, There sure are a lot of S/C stangs out there, not to mention T/C and NO2. I would really like to race a Terminator if I get a '02 Z. Should be close, right? Doesnt the Term. have more Hp? like 390 or so at the wheels. On the bright side when my South African co-worker gets back from India/S.A. we will race, he has a Lightning.

See, we talked about racing mustangs. Haha

If it gets moved that's not a problem, I've got most of my answers anyway, from here non-the-less. Plus I'm PMing with Sidewayz with other detailed questions. Thanks everybody.

I tell you that there is more than one mod here that is sick of your crying, like I said all you do is post in S&S and really don't contribute much tech info to the site, actuall I don't ever recall you even making a thread about racing or a kill on the street, I could be wrong on that, but I don' really remember one.

Well JD, please look at where I post. I post here mostly but also in the Special stangs area (SVT/351/roush&saleen). There are a few guys over there that actually know me in the real world. Check it out PLEASE.

I don't street race...much. In 2 years (by what I can remember) I've killed a Porsche 911 turbo, modded RX7 turbo and a 12 sec. LS1 T/A from rolls on low traffic interstate going to or from a cruise-in. I lost to a T/A badly (just playing around)...in my TRUCK from a light and reeled in and put one length on a eclipse (diesel turbo lag)...in my TRUCK from a light (the loud fart can made me do it). That's all nothing to spout about. Recently I killed a brand new Cobalt S/C driven by a dumb kid with my 390RWHP(w/o N2O) 92 LX. Now there's something to be proud of...nobody wants to hear that crap. I have no intention of bragging about my cars on here and IF I did, I'd just get attacked by a GM flag waver, so I'll save us both the headache. Hell, many of the posters on this S/S section don't even beleive I own what I do. That's why I removed my sig, it just caused too much crap.

I race on the track mostly where it belongs. I came here to read about drag racing.
Now I come here to read the crap...kinda like the GM Enquirer. [sm=icon_rofl.gif]
If you are tired of having a ford guy with some nuts that sees and calls things exactly like they are on MF, then do us both a favor and BAN me. Otherwise, leave me alone until I'm out of line.

No, not jeAlous. Nothing to be jeAlous about. I just prefer Ford over GM...which is why I'm on MF talking MUSTANGS. hehe.

Just curious but why? After the late 80's/early 90's I dont see what ford has going for them, not starting a flame, but give me some reasons?

Ok. Flaming aside. Reasons to like Ford (since 1995 but I liked Ford since I can remember). Introduction of the GT supercar. I'm sure GM fans will argue, but it's a great car. The mustang (I think this forum is titled as such). great car for the price, very reliable, very easily modded, huge selection in aftermarket for mods, sold so much better than the Camaro that GM halted production of said car, 05/06 model mustangs are absolutely being sold at a rapid pace, 03/04 cobra, SVT program invented the super truck, trucks...best selling for how many years straight? Yep that includes the time period you mention...I won't go on...just the high points.

No, I would not have bitched if it was in the tech forum. Especially since the guy was referred here from LS1tech (I think that's what he indicated). Though, I think that in itself is an indication of a problem, but hey that is only my opinion. What I bitch about is the inconsistency in which the moderators moderate. They smack Ford guys much quicker than GM guys here and allow manipulation of the threads to GM flaming sessions. You can check that one yourself.

Just to clear something up 4Stangs, I was referred to S/S from OT of this forum. LS1tech didnt offer much help until the members from here posted over there, that and I posted in the wrong spot. I put in off-topic first seeing that there wasnt an "enemy tech" section haha, j/k, but I will gladly post my kills and defeats in here when the time comes, maybe. I posted kills with my 6 in here and a few were regarding as pipe dreams and what not. People here think every cars runs the displayed time with the displayed Hp and TQ numbers all the time no matter how old, worn out, or rundown the car is. Anyway...I've got my answers so I wont post in S/S with this stuff anymore, even though this is where I got my answers from, even from the FORD guys that responded, like yourself.

Haha, that's cool. I go up to S.C. sometimes, maybe I'd make the trip one time and not stop in S.C., but continue on. I'm sure I'll have enough death stories from Mustangs to write a book, but hopefully after the first 2 or 3 months I'd have a CAI, Cam, and tune done and would start walking a lot of the competition. Haha. No problems here either.

I was smacked down by JD quite a bit when I first joined because he thought I was a troll b/c my head/cam 5.0 was so slow, lol.

As far as the GT, it IS a great car, its price is also just as great : (

The terminators=NICE

SVT Lightning=easy to mod, just like the cobra

But as far as the pedestrian cars (GT/Z28) I belive that GM gave its customers a lot better deal, auto tranny standard (ford makes you pay extra) with a 6-speed optional at no cost. LS1 motor (need I say more?). Better handling by far (Ford catered more towards the daily grind and GM went more for weekend warrior when they designed ride height and stiffness of suspension, hence why the mustang is more like an SUV and the Z28 more like a vette). Aftermarket parts...Heads are SO MUCH CHEAPER for a 5.0 than anything else I know of. The LS1's are getting dang cheap to mod though, been looking at the $$ to mod one and its not bad, and you get a LOT more hp for your mods. LT's and a cam=375 rwhp, where as cam(s) and LT's on a mustang gt (pre 05) are still in the mid 200's.

The 05/06/07 mustang GT is a great car and Ford finally figured out they needed a car with more nuts than most luxury sedans if they were going to compete with the new offereings from other company's. The ONLY COMPLAINT I hear from people is "retro is played out" I think thats personal, I look at it mechanically and it's a great car. The only complain I HAVE is that its a porker. If they lightened it up to around 32-3300 like the 350Z, it would be SICK! Car is also VERY responsive to mods, ford FINALLY figured out that 180cfm intake on a head was crap, the new 3V heads flow almost what an LS1 head does. I really have to say, ford stepped up to the plate with the 05.

He was not referred here by LS1tech, he just MENTIONED that he had posted there and not recieved many responses. I am willing to bet he got the "use the search button" over there. They are fond of that one, lol
