my neighbor has a c3 with a 427. that thing is wicked fast, but he won't race me. most vette owners will not race due to the fact that if you do fly by a cop the vette will be the one getting chased.

 

Thats actually not true. Having owned a Corvette, the cops tend to leave the Vette guys alone. It's wierd. They just don't bother you. Like not having a front plate...Speeding (within reason) I guess they see the car and just figure it's some old dude. And they don't bother. 9 out of 10 times, it's the Mustang thats gonna get chased down.

 

i have seen cops chase down vettes. and vipers. and cobras. there is a sheriff's department in ga that has a built 03/04 cobra chase car used to run down people in the previously mentioned vehicles. supposedly Duluth PD has an R33 skyline GT-R, but i hve never seen it. i heard that from a Duluth cop. the cops here will run you down with whatever it takes, they don't give a **** what you drive. but the high dollar sports cars get nailed a lot
