alright man.. i dont wanna step on anyones toes here... im not trying to make anything up, those were just the numbers i got from the dyno, and sorry for spreading any possible false info.. i just got the car n im just going by what the machine read. if you remember there was also a post that had a question i had about aluminum blocks.. i was told that there was no aluminum blocks for an lt1. they were all cast iron. because i just didnt know, and that is what i was told. hell who knows maybe he said 310 at the FLYwheel, and i misheard him, but im almost positive he said wheels...and i know you didnt pick apart that kid who said he beat a viper cuz he gutted his sixer's cat as you did my thread. that was a little more ridiculous.. anyway im not trying to be an idiot about this in any way..so please dont take anything the wrong way... i wasnt provoking, downing, or bragging anything up, so i just dont really know what the big deal was

I pick the 99 Mustang over the Camaro. I am questioning the man's varacity in the description of his car. Things just don't sound right. 310 rwhp is a lot of power for that engine with a few nickle and dime mods. Even with the 75 shot that number is still a reach.
Gimmie the 99 Stang for $100 to win in the Dig and gimmie the Stang for $125 to win on the roll.
Video of race would certainly be nice.
we raced today for no money at about 330. somebody still owes me $100 lol... we did a dead stop. he jumped me... and kinda hard too, but when i hit second i started pulling....at 70 i had a car, car and a half... i didnt get it on video, but ill see if he wants to do it once more... we only got up to about 80, with it being on a road that is used...

That's weird....but I'm almost 100% the LT1 cars were actually LT1 vehicles. The LT1 was also a "Corvette motor."
Just did a quick google and found some old trooper cars for sale, all are listed as LT1's.

Tommy.. in FLORIDA, haha.. they have LT1 body and LS1 Body camaros... all driven by State Troopers. I believe they all have LS1's... Every State trooper i've talked to has said that (well they call it just the "corvette" motor, haha), and one even let me look under his hood to see his supercharged LS1 in his 94' Z28 car... I have probably talked to a dozen or so of the guys, and looked under about 1/2 of thier hoods... and they're all LS1's and 1 s/c LS1... that i've seen... and in both body styles.

There are supposed to be a couple big CI grand marquis/crown vics running around down south too, interceptor cars for the highways. Down there, your gonna need some muscle to run with the exotics.
Running into a supercharged LS1 cop would really suck.

no i didnt even want to risk being caught with it it was in the car, i just unplugged the bottlefrom the lines...still a 3/4 full bottle, but id most likely get in less sh*t if i wasnt using it ... if i would have lost i might have asked him to go again, but he might not have thanks for the compliment, i appreciate it.. sorry for the mess, im having it re-dynoed prolly as soon as the weather starts getting nice again.. ill get it done somewhere else also, maybe the specs were wrong or something idk.... i just dont know a whole lot about camaros, not to the point i can start forming my own opinions on them yet.... JD1969 thanks to you too bro for helpin me out... a little "hard love" is needed sometimes i guess... but this forum did its job: i came looking for an opinion on the race and got plenty... thanks to everyone who contributed

I'd pick a car that has less power than the other weather or not the opposing car is on motor or on the gas....ESPECIALLY from a roll....

i got a pic of the engine....i read a post that said you could use one... i havent really looked closely under the hood of another camaro, so tell me what you think... i would probably believe its a v6 at this point.. i did do a carfax on it tho and it came up that it was made in quebec, canada and shipped to hawaii. i assume thats where it became a police car.... i also found out one of the rpo codes revealed that it was originally black... not sure if that had any significance, just givin some info that i found thanks
