ok. was it even a 4th gen bird or a 3rd gen? can we atleast figure that one out? and with your mods I don't think you would really be coming close to an LT1. I would bank on you raced a 3.4 V6. I'm not doubting that you beat him. I'm just wondering what you beat.

So he hit it first and then you walked him? If it was an lt1 it prolly wasnt runing right. Although i might own a mustang ive been around a lot more fbodies and i know lt1s are a lot faster then 5.0s.

Oh FVCKIN come on dude, With all the mods I've done do you REALLY thing a 3.4 litre V-6 is gonna run that strong against me?

Did the V-6 have exhaust that looked like this -> |oo oo| Where the rear bumper cover encased both sides of the Exhaust tips?

I havent looked that closed but I don't remember if the V-6 had duals like that or not.

 

The issue here seems to be about pulling up top on a pretty fast highway roll. The 5.0 is made for getting away pretty quickly down low whereas the LT1/LS1 is much better for top end. My LS1 auto trapped at 105.79 stock. A stock LT1 (haven't seen a stock one in a long time) would be slower than that but not by a whole heck of a lot. You've obviously done some pretty good mods to your 5.0. Do you know how much power you're making up top? Also, the 3.55 gears in an auto will really hamper you from a highway roll, especially if it was from an 80 punch. I think that's why people seem to be skeptical. I know modded 5.0's can haul *****, I've learned that the hard way. Do you have any 1/4 mile times for your car?
