A properly cared for LT1 really shouldn't get slower. It's a good solid motor, no longevity issues that I'm aware of. Depends on the owner I guess. Most owners seem to mod them to make them faster.
90LX50, I'm surprised that you're turning 2200 at 80 mph. If so then I have no doubt your car will do well from a highway punch. At 80 mph I'm turning 2000-2100 and I have 2.73 gears. A 60-80 punch is perfect for me, allows me to drop to 2nd and ride it up to 95. Then 3rd pulls pretty hard to, well, I dunno, 120 comes up with no hesitation and that's as far as I've gone. I would imagine yours is about the same way.

, but man i totally am with you you smoked the lt1, my stockish 5.0 hung with a lt1 pretty good and they all called me ****.. with your mods you should easily take one.

My buddy has an M6 LT1 with 250k on the clock now....he still runs low 9's in the 1/8 with a catback only. Like you said, those motors go forever.
I never had any problems with lightly mod'ed 5.0's with my LT1....I don't think I ever ran any stock ones. Is there such a thing as a stock 5.oooo?

my car isnt stock anymore, it was a few months ago when it first got on the road after the rebuild, now ive got headers, super 40s, hi pipe, PP heads and intake, advanced timing, CAI and problably forgetting something but its winter here so no idea what kind of difference it made, anyways thank your car looks good too in the picture it looks like great paint?

It's the damn AOD, if it were a 5 speed. i doubt it would turn that many rpm's. Of course the stock tach could be off, the car does have 154k on it.

If so then it just didn't happen. You did not hang even with an LT1 and then all of a sudden magically pull on him at 115, not with your mods. Nuh-uh. Even the Mustang guys call BS on that one.
