that E46M3 link is close enough to an F1 sounding car as your gonna get "for around 30K"

 

IDK why but the M3 with the straight pipes sounded better to me than the CGT. Maybe I am just a little nutty though.

So back to point, considering the bigger motor, and the extra 100hp. The new S4 is not "MUCH quicker" than the old turbocharged S4. None of them are low 13 second carseither.

 

So we're judging cars' performance on their 0-60 times now??? Btw, Motor Trend also did a road test of the S4 and got a 13.44 1/4. Which is a mid 13. Which falls in line w/ low-mid 13 like I said. And I'm a regualr on Audi forums, and people have gotten their stock S4's to 13.20's. Which is a low 13. So the V8 cars are alomst 3/4ths of a sec quicker through the quarter, and in a roll or long highway race, it'd walk a 2.7T. Just stating the facts. Sorry if you choose not to acknowledge them...

 

I have a 4.2 V8 S4. (340hp).

I have been looking to run anything just to get a baseline on the car. I still havent had a chance to race anything.

MorbidIntentions and I were supposed to race and get it on video, but we live almost an 1.5 hours away from each other. So, it had been dificult to not only find time in between snow, but also work schedules.

Anyone in my area want to run, I would love to. Send me a PM. It could be fun.
