Track testing 3.73s
I'll gladly run your buddy too if I cam up, but will go into it knowing it won't even be a race, lmao. That car sounds pretty damn sick.
Defiantly pull the front sway bar and passenger seat! These cars are built for drag racing, no reason not to do it when you are so close. I am amazed you are not on DRs...
I know what you mean. I was back and forth everyday about putting heads & cam on my Z06 when I first started modding. I didn't feel comfortable enough to do the install myself and it was going to be about $1300 just for install. So I decided on the nitrous route instead. I think next year after I am comfortable with the nitrous and everything there will probably be a cam going in. I love the fact that with my LTs I can hear my cam, but it is very mild and I would love to hear a little more LSA, lol.

Thats the exact same reason I haven't already done heads/cam or just cam...the labor. I feel like I could eek out the cam install, but like you, I'm not totally comfortable with it either. I just want a little more top end and of course that sexy lope!
Yours definitely sounds clean though. A cat-back would no doubt wake it up, but then you have drone. Mine drones pretty good now that it has 3.73s. The gears put it right on that RPM at 70 mph, lol. I don't mind it at all though.
FI is EXPENSIVE...a cam is dirt cheap. Honestly 500.00 could get an MS3/MS4 in that thing and it would scream.Stone - The labor on the cam install isn't that bad actually..just takes time... honestly it was less of a pita than headers. My install would have been pretty fast if I hadn't replaced the oil oring (which btw is a nightmare) and had a better spring compressor tool. I wasted hours trying between the two things...
You don't have to pull heads or anything so you can get it done pretty quick. This is what I used...

Do the JPR Lifter tool method if you do it.. (I used 49 cent dowel rods from walmart.
)With my oil pan bolts loosened and the pan down there was no way to unbolt that bolt all the way without it dropping in the pan. I ended up putting a tool we had that was angled with a point to hold the head of the bolt up in and turning it slowly with the wrench.
