Now to correct some more bad info here. If you floor the car with od on, it won't downshift into the last gear, it continues out the gear you're in. Now if you just hit the gas, then your gear will take forever to shift out, it's only when you go part way down, let your engine rev up, then floor it that the car actually takes off. Trust me, I've got this down. But normally, I will just turn off the OD so that I can just floor it and go, because it will grab the last gear pretty hard with the OD off as oppossed to on.

That's where you are wrong. When I HAD my Stang, if I was in OD and floored it, it would downshift to the gear it wanted.

Mine sure in the hell doesn't, it continues through let say third gear, then shifts into 4th. I never downshift when I floor it.
