transgo shiftkit
earlier i said i recomend taking the kit to a pro, well, I called like 4 shops near me and none of them would install the kit. so i actually borrowed the tool i needed, a snap ring tool, from my gf's dad, and I'm gonna give it another shot on Thursday. I should have enough time and light since I now know exactly what to go for and unbolt, etc. Friday I'll be hitting the drag track, i hope...and bringing along my nice new Brenspeed tune. i'll let you all know how the times go and whatnot.
hmm...i cant say accurate time figures but i'll give it a try. mind you i did all this while the car was still pretty hot. I had let the car sit for like an hour, but even like 6hrs later, with an open tranny case, this thing kept the heat...)
30-60min, unbolting pan, draining fluid(longest part), removing valve body and plate
30min to drill holes, took my time to make sure i did it right
30min trying to pull out the 2nd clutch accumiulator, failed miserably, called it a day
30-40min to put the plate on the valve body, put the valve body back, filter install, gasket and pan and fill the case back with a fresh 9qts of fluid...prolly closer to 8.
and then another like 30min reading instructions, and figuring out where things go, and taking quick breaks...it took from about 1:30-5:30 to get as far as i did..or didnt, lol.
