get the GT takeoffs. the 2.25" exhaust is fine for V6's and won't really hurt performance.

take the gt takeoffs to a shop and have them cut the stock Gt mufflers off and weld the force mufflers in place. they will need to cut the Y-pipe on your car and weld the Gt takeoffs to the Cut Y. they will have to hang the exhaust below your rear bumper which is no big deal or you can get a GT rear bumper.

you can find GT takeoffs pretty cheap but you can also get them and the GT bumper from www.mpsautosalvage.com in their product inventory section

if you find GT takeoffs for under $100 which can be done. the Force mufflers cost $35/piece+ shipping then about $70 for the install so you are looking at $240 maybe $280 tops for an exhaust that will sound as good as anything out there
What are the tips on the GT takeoffs, just the normal 3.5" (or is it 4") that you see on stock gt's?

There's a reason.

And if you were planning on spending $1000 on an exhaust just buy some MAC LT's, 40's/Forces, and tell the shop to weld divorced pipes with high flow cats.

If I go o/r H pipe ( what is that btw? ), forceflow mufflers, and have a shop fab the rest am I then buying the tips as well?

Because that seems like it could be an expensive route.

Yes, you are buying the tips, unless the shop as a few lying around.

An O/R H is mid-pipe without catalytic converters, and it has a crossover. (below)

Oh, thanks for the explanation, but I'm going to have to keep my cats on.

Either way, it sounds like a gt takeoff kit with forceflow mufflers would be the best sounding, best looking, best performance, I could get. That right?

Best looking?

Well no is really looking under your car, but for the tips I would go with some nice 4" SS tips.
They may sound big, but they look sick.
