its more for 5 speeds but basically it makes the RPMs drop quicker than stock. our cars rpms hang reallly bad and when i did my IAC gasket i loved it, i can shift quicker and smoother because the rpms are back down by the time i let off the clutch

I just did it cause I was wondering how it would change the idle of my car. Sometimes my car almost dies cause it idles so low, it has died only once. Most of the time is at 500 but the odd time it will sit there and go back and forth between 500 and 800rpm.

Yes idle is when its sitting there in park. I don't know if is still technically considered idleing when your stopped in gear, I assume but don't want to give you wrong information.
