Well, everybody gets ONE. Listening to friends is what ruins cars. My Parking Brake on my Stang failed to work after "drifting." And now, I'll never take a friend's advice about my car. Best to listen to the guys here. They've messed up, so they know what goes wrong. As for your actual problem, my thoughts would be sheared gears or possibly u-joints. Maybe....but hey, I've been wrong before.
