Ive had headers off 3 times now and still using the stock gasket w/o any problems

Btw if that header set doesn't come with a metal mls gasket like the factory. Trash it and buy one MUCH better gaskets !!!

And I used a 3' pry bar and went in between the ports, dont pry or anything directly against the heads. Which I have feeling you already have w/ the flat head. They are aluminum. Easy to **** up. Dont want to ruin the gasket surface, then you gotta get it re surfaced.

Rubber mallett is a good idea to as said above.

Um yes, you can get it down there.
Hit the tops of the primaries and when your under the car, up from below.

You arent going to get a baseball bat swing in, you only have inches to work with.

Just take your time and go through it slowly.
That $150 can be used somewhere else.

OK, first things first. You're gonna need to learn how to use punctuation while crafting sentences, namely periods. Nobody is going to be able to help you if we can't figure out what the **** you're talking about cause you have a 5 line run on sentence.

Now that that's out of the way.

It sounds like you have a bolt still in there. If you took out all the bolts there should be no reason the header won't come off the head. Can you take a picture of what you're doing?

I do all my work myself too while being limited to only borrowing a relatives garage once in a while.
Pics would be great. I know this- Sometimes they come out & go in, no problem. Sometimes, they just do not cooperate at all!
If a shop can help for such a reasonably cheap price, then great. No big deal. Let us know your opinion of the headers in connection to the rest of the system and rest of SCT tunes, ect... When it's done. Enjoy!
