Here's how my clearance is. It is pretty close, but the muffler has never gotten hot enough to even make the bumper warm and I drive it pretty hard.
Just saw your other post. I say leave the tip off. With some metal polish the GT tips can really shine. This is the only angled pic I have to show the shine it has.

Upon further research, those of you who said the tip for the GT and the v6 were different were correct. There are two different part numbers for the tip and two different prices. Could've answered my own question with a little...arghh!...patience. Thanks for the closeup pics GIDDEUP. That looks good! I see you've got a top notch mechanic (pc-technician) too!
