I hold the nozzle horizontal to make it fill up. One of these days I'll get the gas tank replaced. It's worse in winter when the gas stations up the line pressure and I freeze when filling the tank.

 

I have a problem sometimes where the nossle with shut off like the tank is full after only a few gallons, if that. Usualy, if i turn the nossle upside down, this corrects the problem. This also seems to have everything to do with what peticular gas station I'm at as there are ones where it NEVER happens, and ones where it ALWAYS happenes.
