There is a night and day difference with a CAI/Tune vs. stock. I went from stock to 3.73's and C&L CAI and Bamachips 93 race tune, and it was like a brand new car.

Hands down you NEED to have a CAI/tune.

well I finally got it.. today the mechanic finished installing 8.8 axle and 3.73 gears.. once he finished I tuned the car with bamachips 93 race tune.. i tested it in front of the the guy who did the job he was as impressed as i was.. it spins tires in first and second gear, and just a little bit in 3rd.. it is just a complete different car.. but just one thing, i'm a little scare that it may damage the transmission because it shifts hard as hell.. the mechanic told me playing around: " why don't you leave a deposit now before you come to repair your transmission..." so that's my only concern, maybe nothing happens so what do you guys think about it?? when i got to my house i looked at the MPG and it dropped from my usual 16 MPG to 9.8 MPG, so i hope it goes up a little bit once i stop driving it like crazy lol.. but yeah i'm very happy with it F**K MPG..

MR305 - it's highly unlikely the transmission problems you're having are related to the work you just had done... unless you're saying the shifting changed right AFTER the axle was installed?

What do you mean... "shifts hard as hell"? and WHEN did you notice that problem?

You should put 500 miles on your gears before you go spinning the tires, otherwise you will be back in his shop getting your gears replaced. He should have told you that.

maybe is just me because i got used to the lag from the stuck tune and now with the bamachips tune it doesn't make any noise or anything it just shifts really quick from gear to gear.. but well, maybe is just me getting used to the new tune... you guys haven't had any problem with the transmission right..? the quick shifts won't damage the transmission right??
thankss..

oo ok... thankss oddysey

Uhm, that really DOESN'T sound like a problem...most people would be extremely happy if their car "shifts really quick from gear to gear" in fact many of us PRACTICE every day to perfect that! Oh, wait... yours is an AUTOMATIC??! OK, never mind... if it worries you, just learn to anticipate the shift points and back off the gas a bit before it shifts.
