I have the FRPP kit with GTB's --no noticeable drone.

Thanks for reading the post as no one else really seems to have read it?...... if it is drone my suggestion will work
I actually ran my car over to our local wrencher and had him put it in the air. There was no rubbing anywhere. I was expecting to see really tight tolerances. I did not see anything within 3/8"...so there is no rubbing going on.

Anyway...this was classic resonance. Stick your fingers in your ears and go "hmmmmmm". That is what I had. My wife is an ear doc and she go out of the car and said, your car resonates badly when going 45 mph. Even she knew...and she is FAR from a car gal.

But no more. The GT takeoffs (rolled tips from a manual) sounds GREAT with the FRPP kit and I have no drone anyplace.

Ok, I put on my FRPP exhaust, and I have a drone / rattle when I'm at a stop. My dad and I think that it's because the exhaust is new and hasn't broken in yet. I think it should stop after a couple hundred miles.

I had the idle drone too. I removed that one by raising both idle speeds 100 rpm. It vanished.

It was so loud that when parked at a light, your could not carry on a conversation with a passenger. The rpm raise made it vanish totally. The drone stayed gone until 1400 where it was LOUD...then was gone by 1500.

Weird.

All that being said, I cannot recommend going with the FRPP kit as is. Ford screwed this up when they started shipping GTBs. People buying an OEM kit fromt he manufacturer should not have ANY drone...period.
