2005 Black V-6 mustang ... Looking to increase HP
#21
This topic is discussed a lot on this forum, and I've read through a million of them myself because I'm in the market. The consensus from owners who have actually tried several variations on their own car is this: (1) Do not buy a CAI that doesn't require a tune because you'll get minimal gains; (2) There's not much difference between the various CAI units out there in terms of hp gains. Buy according to your taste and budget. (3) The biggest difference comes from the tune. The reputable tuners out there are Bama, Brenspeed, and VMP. There are some differences in these tunes, so do a search and read up on them, and then choose the one that fits your driving style.

Okay so I didnt pull the trigger because 529 is a lot of money. However, now thats it's a couple days later I really want to buy the combo! So, I am trying to find way to justify the purchase. Also, I have 70K on my car, would it be stupid to install the combo with 70k, which is relatively high milleage??
