Default Power window problem

I just noticed this a couple of days ago.

You know how when you open the door the window will go down about 1/2 an inch and go back up after you close the door it goes back up.

My drivers door goes down a crack but doesn't go back up like it should when you close the door.

The passenger door works fine.

The window works fine using the button.

any ideas?

thanks,
greg

Sounds like something that happened to mine a while ago. Mine also would jump back down after hitting the top. You'll find a few different solutions out there but the only one that worked for me requires two people. As one lowers the window another must disconnect the battery. This "Unlearns" the windows programming. You then have to raise the windows to the top and hold the button for 2 seconds then lower the window and hold it for another two seconds.

Turn the key to on position do not start. Hold the switch in the down position and hold for 3-4 sec. If your real quiet you might hear a faint click. Now hold the switch in the up position and hold again listen for the click. Turn the ignition off and test. No need to be playing with the battery disconnect.
