Default TB

I cleaned my TB with TB Cleaner and a soft cloth. Oh, I opened it by hand - no problems after reinstalling.

So why would you need to clean the tb in the first place? Does oil get on it from the PCV line or what?

throttle bodies are just pieces of metal that open and allow air to go in. the science is all with the engine not the throttle body itself. there isnt a coating or anything like that on it, or anything that would affect it.
