so thanks to jaybird, I got magnapacks installed today. They were originally his and I loved em so I bought them off him while he bought a Mac catback. Mine seem to be way louder than his were when he only had the stock H-pipe and the packs. Any ideas why that is? Also, I managed to save the stock pipes...anyone want em?

all in all, I think the packs are great with the stock H-pipe and I don't think it is necessary to get a different midpipe

Glad you like em bro. We had a very interesting morning, that breakfast was damn good too. I think yours is louder because of the nature of the catback.... Magnapacks are one of the loudest aftermarket systems you can get, and it's loud even with stock H pipe. The only louder one I can think of is the LM1, which I don't like at all.

My MAC catback w/ O/R Prochamber is subdued, quiet, yet has a great tone and roars when you get on the gas. I don't feel nearly as paranoid now when I do a WOT blast down Dodge St. without having to worry about cops hearing me. I think the reason why the Packs seem louder on yours is because he started it up in the garage and **** tends to resonate in there. When you heard my car w/ the stock H and Packs it was in a parking lot.

And you are absolutely right, the Packs sound good with stock H. Now that I think of it, I got a different midpipe for them because I just wasn't happy with the sound. It does sound good, but it's not my thing., I'm more of a chambered guy, at least with these cars.
