my engine whistles at high rpm's. usually between 5 and 6 grand. i didn't really notice it until after i put my mods in. i think it might be my CAI. anyone else get this? should i be worried?

Its probally just you cold air i notice mine sucking in air at high rmp's to i would really worry unless its like really weird sounding the best i could tell you mine sounds like is kinda a whistle mixed with the a/c on high you should be ok.

could you have installed a s/c and forgotten about it?

Try putting your stock part back on and see if it does it?

Most CAI's are noisey and it's nothing to worry about.

CAI... I trimed the snorkel (factory) on my air box to let more air in and not suck hot air from the engine compartment and stuck a K&N in it. It whistles around 3000-4000RPM. I've read that most of the CAI systems will whistle. I've also heard a few in friends cars. Nothing to worry about.

mine whistles at a low rpm but i think its because its my throttle body spacer (wjick has the air swirler in it)

as far as installin an s/c. i dont think my wallet would have forgotten even if I had. and it doesn't quite sound that NASTY.
