I should be back at the track pretty soon. Not sure if you'll be able to compare my times though, 'cause I've done other things that might lower my times also, like gear and UDPs. Menace is the one that will have the same mods, unless he starts doing other mods before going back to the track.

Brent, like I said before I mean no disrespect with this thread, nor am I saying you are incompetent. I was very pleased with your tune, and I'm even more please with Evolution's tune. I think you both are great tuners and like I said before there is always room for competition. I'm pretty confident the car can reach into the 12s... Though I was pretty confident that the car could reach even lower then 13.2 with Brenspeed's tune. We will only tell when the time comes. (The only mods I want to do right now is get the resonator's on, when I don't know.)

Anyway, I've recieved numberous PM's from the curious, and if anyone else has any questions feel free to give me a buzz.

PS. Eitherway you go... Brenspeed or Evolution... You will get a good tune, and you'll most likely be satisfied. I am only claiming Evolution as the winner because Evolution was the one who has shown better numbers. Track numbers are going to be hard to tell. Weather conditions will be different, my knowledge of the do's and don'ts has changed, and so on.

I have an auto and it barely does a burnout. Chirps them taking off, but that's it. Will a tune fix that? I want to chirp them into 2nd and have the ability to smoke them in 1st. All I have is a CAI. [&o]

Well, I just installed Fred's tune. Fred is real fast. Called me to discuss and got my tuner back to me the next day. I installed his 93 octane tune on my auto over brenspeed's tune. I'm sorry to say I'm not that impressed.

Fred is very confident his tune is superior, but from the SOP it's not. The shifting at WOT is good but around town Brenspeed's shift points and firmness is more to my liking. Also he jacked up my idle to 800 drive and 850 neutral. I absolutely HATE that! I cut it back to near stock values and it's better.

Also, I think Fred's got the throttle lag about 90% gone, but Brenspeed had it 100 fixed.

Lastly w/Brenspeeds tune I was chirping 3rd, with Fred's I'm not. I increased 2-3 shift point 2MPH and 5% firmness. I'll see tomorrow how she is, 'cause I gotta put the kids to bed right now.

Perhaps as I drive it more I might notice an improvement but my first impression is this. He's got a good tune and worth the price, but if you already have a tune from Brenspeed I don't think you'll see your moneys worth of improvement to buy his on top of that.

I'm open to questions and i'll post back if there's any change.

I guess everyone has their own opinions on it. Dkano got upgraded to Evolution's tune from Brenspeed, and he has an auto... and absolutely loves it.

Actually for me it was the other way around. I liked the 89 tune from Brenspeed, but was not impressed when I switched to the 93 tune. I tried it for more than a week but just didn't notice any difference, so I went back to the 89 tune. I couldn't chirp the tires even if I tried, well, except when I switched to the 3.90 gears, but that was a gear thing, not a tune thing.
Now, I haven't really pushed the car as hard as I would want to since I got the tune from Fred 'cause I want to change the Motive gears out and put the Ford Racing gears on. Then once those are broken in, I'll head down to English Town and see how the car "really" feels.
