drbobvs,

I'm still down to meeting up with you one of these nights and going from 0 to around 70MPHs so we can compare our tunes. It can't be this weekend though, 'cause if I DO get the gears switched, they'll be too fresh to start doing that kind of stuff. Maybe next week, we just have to find a good spot with no traffic and no cops. I'll send you a PM when I'm ready to "test it"
As for going to the track, it's probably going to be May 3rd of the 10th (Wednesdays), the 3rd might be too soon though. That's going to be at the track in Englishtown New Jersey (http://www.etownraceway.com/). I'll leave from West Babylon at around 3PM-3:30PM, the track opens at 5PM. Don't know if they'll let me have my camera mounted to the passenger headrest, I'll try though and get some videos.

I will prolly forget about this so someone send me a PM about it a day or two before the event and I'll try to make it to if I'm not busy.

If you saw my post up there. I currently prefer Brenspeed, but I will reserve judgement for a liitle while. I installed the EVO tune last night and won't drive the car again till this weekend. SO i'm willing to live with it for a couple more days. I'll probably swith the Brenspeed tune back in again and compare again.

dkano, and I got something planned which may help us all out a little.

Well, this is indeed the 2005/2006 GT section so 2003 is a little out of our league... (Unless we have some earlier model owners.) Anyway, Brenspeed, Evolution... and I'm sure many others have just as extensive experience with the earlier models as they do with the late models. It's not a matter of they just started doing this with the entry of the new model... They've been doing it for a while, which means they've worked on your car most likely. Give em a call.

Rench,

Congrats on those runs!! Very consistent too! As of now, the trip to E-Town is on for the 10th of May and you should definitely try to make it, it should be a lot of fun! If anyone else wants to come to the track, here is their website again http://www.etownraceway.com
The more Mustangs we have there the better!

I think I may have missed comments regarding programming for the CVT and auto trans.

I have the mods listed below and was wandering if it would be possible for Fred and Doug to discuss (without revealing secrets) what programming is being done to make the automatic better.

I really am not pleased with the Predator, dont get me wrong, my GT runs like a bat otta hell, but everytime I ask Chris at Diablo a question concerning specific programming attributes his reply is "you gotta get a custom tune". I just wish he would answer the damn questions. Then I'll decide if investing the money is worth getting a custom tune.

I've been out of racing since the 60's and all of this is new to me. From what I've read on these forums is, its not so much the the programming device used to program the OBDll but the programmer/tuner and his ability to write effective programs.

So, now I'm stuck. Everyone loves Doug and everyone loves Fred. Both have written programming adjusting the CVT but only Fred has writtren programming for the automatic. The later interests me.

I know I'm going to get the SCT and dump the Predator.......thats a fact. I dont know if I'm going to purchase it from Doug or Fred yet. I would like to try Freds tune to experience his work on the CVT and Automatic. I would like to try Dougs tune also. Man, this is going be costly. I'll work it out though.

The fellas that have been doing all the work on my GT have their shop about 10 min. from the house. This is where I've had my GT dyno'd (12 pulls). They have a dyno-jet. The owner is going to purchase a new kind of dyno that actually puts a load on the car. Dont ask me about it, I dont know.

There have been over 3200 people read this thread, I'll bet poor ole Doug and Fred are going nutz answering emails.

This thread has probably been one of the best I've read. A lot of good info here.

Thank You
