Evolution debate ongoing.
Mwuaha, Look! I lured you all into a trap. Haha, jk.
Everyone enjoy.
I just want to get those resonator's on... From what Fred was telling me it'll clean up the break-up/raspyness of the exhaust, and give it that deeper sound. (O/R H-Pipe & SLP Loudmouths.) I'm thoroughly happy with them... It sounds amazing driving down the road at cruising speeds of 65mph, I can't imagine what the people driving along side of me think but from inside with the windows down it sounds awesome... Although sometimes the sound doesn't sound clean enough, breaking up and too raspy at low RPMs... so hopefully this will do the trick... and it'll give the exhaust some back pressure which will give me some more HP. Fun!

I too talked to Fred this morning and my combo is on the way![sm=happy046.gif]
He asked the pertinent Q's like year, manual, CAI wanted, octanes wanted. He said that data will be provided indicating average gains for each octane rating etc. etc.

If by chance you are reading this Brent, I still think you have excellent service, and you're awesome... but... Evolution has you beat in this aspect (as well as price for combos). You win some, you lose some.
No harm meant.

I thought I would jump in with a brief statement due to the fact that my companies name is the title to this thread. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to surf the forums but after a few e-mails with links to this thread came in I thought I would check it out.
Brenspeed has and always will be on the cutting edge of tuning for any new production mustang. That is why we are highly respected by such companies as SCT, C&L, and JLT, why these companies’ websites recommend us for tuning, and why our 05 GT was running in the 12’s over a year ago with nothing but our air intake and older version of our calibration.
For us to take a stock 05/06 GT (the one in the signature of the person that started this post) and to put it to a 106 MPH ¼ mile with an intake, tune, and an H pipe is a good thing and it takes a VERY significant tune over the factory one to do that. These type of track times have been common for us and a few other tuners for the last 1 ½ years since the release of the new mustang. There is a lot more to a calibration than peak HP numbers and any pro tuner will tell you that. It is not odd to manipulate a tune for say a 9 HP increase and then loose MPH at the track. This is all part of the R&D of a calibration and why our customers 12 second automatic cars are running 12.7-12.8’s with just intake, exhaust, pulleys, and tune but slow down 2 tenths when the tunes are tweaked to increase peak HP.
As for any company out there that can come up with a way to make a true 25+ more HP at the rear wheels and increase MPH at the track than a program that can put a stock 5 speed car to a 106 MPH ¼ mile great work. If the tune was made properly that car should now be running 108.5 to 109 MPH in the ¼ mile no problem.
This time of year we don’t have time to watch threads and “defend†ourselves as somebody had put it. We are an engineering company that spends almost every free minute in R&D on calibrations and or testing for manufactures or ourselves. With a shop that has a 3-4 week lead time and at least a 5 day lead time on programming I can’t justify surfing the web nor do I feel anything we do needs defending. That is why we you don’t see us replying to every post and most likely wont reply to much here after. Our name is in the title of the thread so I thought I should chime in, say good luck, and tell everybody out there keep up the good and honest work.

Intriguing. When I go with the CAI and tune, it looks like I'll probably go to Evolution, since they're only an hour away and put up pretty sweet numbers. Cool beans, and nice thread.
