Default explorer heads?

if i get a set of the GT40s from and explorer is there any way i can still use my BBK shorties or what headers can i get that will work?

get a set of conversion headers..so it'll allow for spark plug clearance

if they are regular gt40s not the gt40p you can use the stock headers/ or you bbks

I've got P's on my car with BBK's as well. Just don't try and use the convert mounts as it will drop the engine about half an inch and run into steering clearance problems..

just got the heads and found out they are not the GT40Ps but the GT40s so they will match up with my BBKs so thats cool, got them for $200 and they were rebuild 2 years ago but the springs have to high of a lift so i need to have the springs changed, or should i have them rebuilt, and whats a good spring to still keep the stock valve covers.

springs do not dertermine the valve cover clearance roller rockers will but an extra thick gasket or baffle clearance will fix that if using roller rockers and match springs to cam
