i have heard that the computers in the 94/95's doiesnt like the alphablet cams too good but they adjust well to the steeda cam like Mjr said. But thats just what i've herd from other people. if you're not going to do a head and intake swap with the cam at least get you stock ones ported out and put new springs and retainers in the heads so at least you will gain a little more pwer.

ok so pretty much you guys are saying is that if i wanna put a diffrent cam in i should change the heads and the intake too, if i dont and just put a cam in it it will just slow down my car dont make since to me i have a 1990 f-body and i put a e303 in it and it seemed to me to make it faster. so i need to know detailed info what i need to do this is a 5.0 motor

if you leave the stock heads and inake on and just put in a bigger cam the car will probably gain a few horse maybe 5 or 10 at the most. but they way i look at it and many other on the forum do is that while you already have the engine aprt putting a cam in you might as well upgrade heads and intake so you will get the most out of your new cam. like i said before i you dont have the money for new heads and intake at least port and polish the old ones so you will get a little better air flow. and you always need to uprade the springs and retaines andsuch on the heads when doing a new cam so that you dont experience valve float and other things that might even hurt your engine!

For the amount of time and money involved in a cam swap it's just not worth it with stock heads and intake. You'd be better off putting the money elsewhere and doing a head/cam/intake swap all at the same time. That way you won't have to do things more than once, also.
