Troubleshooting help- power top on '91 convertible
I was leaving work today, ready to drop the top on my 91 convertible- when ... nothing. Pushing the switch produced nothing more than the click of the relay(relays?). I pushed the top by hand off the windshield about 6" and pushed the switch again and the top worked just fine. I closed it , opened it, no problem...'til I got home and tried to close the top and once again, just the relay click. I liftted the fram out of the well while my wife pulled the switch, and once again it worked.
So... any ideas? I have not done anything yet. Does this sound like a tired motor, or a hydraulic leak? All help is appreciated!

Thanks for the advice... I don't know how much of a PIA the job is, but it may have to wait 'til spring. Within a month it'll be ready to go into hibernation for the Chicago winter. Do you have any recommendations for the source of a new pump?
By the way, your car looks(from the small picture) like a dead ringer for mine- dark blue with a dark blue top?

Check out Late Model Restoration for the pump (www.50resto.com). I get all my parts there; thankfully my no problems with my top yet.
