Default running hot
I know the oil pump is bad on 88 gt hatchback, but the motor also has a tendency to run hot. Are these problems directly related. It only has 80,000 miles. Any advice please!!

No there not related,but it could be partially clogged radiator,bad thermostat,bad water pump,or even a blown or leaking headgasket...
