V6 or V8
I know roll racing isn't real racing but we're not really racing. Roll racing shows who has the faster car, off the line has more factors..like for example which car has the better driver. I believe the V8 has a much higher advantage off the line, it's just that i can't launch for crap on street tires and i don't want to buy and waste any drag radials until drag season starts, and thats IF i have the money. '
Mods? On the 4.6? the 281 only has: off road H, MAC mufflers, Accufab plenum, 75mm TB, and K&N FIPK II.. in other words, near **** stock. It has to use drag radials to even get it to run in the 13s. I'll have gears soon though so it should be running well in the mid 13 with a Tune.
I really want to run these modified sixes after cams, gears, tuner and drag radials and see how much they beat me by on a pretty much bolt on v8 281 with under 1500 dollars in it vs a FI six..I have a feeling theres a good chance i'd probably win. The problem is i can't find anyone to run at my track, i've never seen a sixxer that breaks mid to low 15, and the majority are running high 15s all the way down to even 16s

Split port sixers have made over 400rwhp on a stock bottom end with just boost and fuel upgrades. Stock blocks are good to over 700 hp. Let's see a stock 302 block pull that off.
Rico (ChaoticDismay) made 330 rwhp on 7 psi from one of my M112 set ups. I was there in person to see it. That was using a stock M112 blower pulley and an UNDERDRIVE crank pulley. My M112 sset ups can spin up to 18 psi when used with a built bottom end.
I've shown time and time again, for the same year car, the V6 can make more power for less money up to a certain point. And that point happens to fall into the range of 85% of the V8 owners power range. It wasn't easy for me to take at first either. I was a big V8 guy. When I picked up my V6, I was driving a 347 powered fox GT that ran 11's.
Sure a V8 can make more over all power. We aren't kicking out 1600 hp V6 street cars. A vast majority of the 'modded' V8s are still under 450 hp. Even more of them are simple cat back cars who think they are race cars. It's just sad. 450 is a very easy number to get out of a sixer. It's just soooooo many people get the V8 blinders on and jump from that to the assumption that anything less than 8 holes is a waste.
and btw I have had plenty of time with v-6 mustangs - not they are not cheaper to go fast in... not by a long shot
and there are people making 550 rwhp on stock mod v8s to, doesnt make it a bright idea. But even a v6 with 350 rwhp is probably still in the 13's or high 12's.... I mean. LiL Roush, I know im pissin in your cereal here, but what does your car run now? Even a 4cly can run 8's with enough money and mods.
I know some of you can't come to grips with this.... but even 15 yr old girls laugh at guys with v-6 mustangs... whether they say it to your face or behind your back, we are all thinking it, whether its warranted or not is another question.... but its the truth

If you have so much experience with building V6 mustangs, we'd love to hear what you made to back that up.
Haha Alex, I didn't see this back a few pages. I've learned something about this forum: Don't waste the time. I've had almost a dozen guys start the smack talking about "I'll take any V6", "It's only for girls" bla bla bla. NONE of them have stepped up when push comes to shove. Not even the Cobra owner awhile back. If we put together an M112 V6 race for this Spring in GA like we are kicking around, it will be open to any V8 Stangs that want to come and run during test/tune.
