V6 or V8
Whats wrong with the 281? it's plenty of displacement, and it can make plenty of power.
With that being said, who said I only had access to a 281?
I'm in atlanta GA, right in the perimiter.
If anyone thinks they have a six that can take me, feel free to send me a PM. I'll run off the line if i can use drag radials or run from 35 from a roll if you want to keep it easy..should be an epic thread, we can post the run on youtube.

...I just want to say, if anyone here has spent the same amount of money on their mods as i have on mine (v8) and think they can beat me with a 6, Email me for a meet up. you can include the price of purchase into the equation too. if you bought your six for 4 grand and i bought my 8 for 7 grand, then you can count it as 3 grand in mods..i'll go THAT frikin far. BEcause most ppl don't even mod the damn 6, and for the few ppl that have, i'm not to worried about them.

$2500 V6 auto new edge
$3900 Turbo kit http://tmaturbo.com/product.html
$200 LSD
$300 Dyno tune
Total $6900
I'd guess safely we can run 11psi and probably be making over 300rwhp and over 360wtorque, good for about low 13s-high 12s I'd estimate. Check the dynographs page and do some calculation if you don't believe me. A stock single port 6er made 254 rwhp/369rwtq at 10psi.
can they even run 11 PSI stock? i'm no sixxer expert but that seems pretty high.
I can buy a camaro for 5,000 dollars that has 300RWHP.. a little more i can buy a Trans Am..or Firebird..I can buy a sn95 Cobra that has around that much HP for 6500 and another 400 or so of bolt ons.. I can Cam my new edge with bolt ons and have that much HP N/A for 600 dollars. Who gives a crap about 300HP engines? i'm use to hearing about goals of400, 500, 550 engines.. since when the hell was 300 RWHP a goal?
I can buy a 302 for 2000 dollars with a GOOD body and buy a H/C/I kit from summit for a grand or 2 and have an immediate boost to well over 300 RWHP..What about that? The whole thing would only cost me 4 grand.. and thats before other bolt ons like Exhaust and pullies, tune...hot dawg, slap some slicks and 4:30 Gears and this convo is over.
Oh yea, err..you do know that Automatic V6 mustang you posted a link to doesn't cost 2,000 dollars right?..if i'm reading it right thats the down payment..that car cost 7000 dollars which is about what i paid for my car...and more than a cobra, mind you. Your total comes to about 15,000 dollars

Sorry if i posted this in the wrong forum, but i wasnt to sure which one to put it in. So I have been looking at purchasing a 2005+ ford mustang. I like they way they look and it would be a fun car to have for sure. Havent decided weather i would go with the v6 or v8. v8 you get more power 300 hp, 310 ft/lb torque. Traction control, leather seats, fog lights, and dual exhaust are all standard. However you would pay more for insurance and of course gas. I got to test drive a v6 and it wasnt bad 210 hp and 240 ft/lbs of torque but it didnt pick up as much as i would have like. However they would be cheaper to buy then a GT, also insurance would be less and i would save on gas. I would like to beat my friends 2000 BMW 328 cause all he does is calls down mustangs about how ugly and how bad there handling is. Which neither is true. The mustang is at the top of my list for the car im going to buy. I was also looking at 2000-2002 audi S4 but i dont know. BTW this is my first car and im buying used.
Get a v6 and just add the tornado to you intake you will have the same hp in no time.....

I'm in atlanta GA, right in the perimiter.
If anyone thinks they have a six that can take me, feel free to send me a PM. I'll run off the line if i can use drag radials or run from 35 from a roll if you want to keep it easy..should be an epic thread, we can post the run on youtube.
