Default Reverse Valve Bodys

Anyone have one of these, whats the pros and cons of having one, faster shifts etc. would it work well with a T56 tranny. with a Twin Disc Clutch. I am thinking of putting one in a Fox Body, I wanna eventually get a 5.0 LX Fox and want to make at least 5-600 hp if not more. if the motor is shot I may try to rebuild it if not ill throw a BOSS 302 in there or something, but i mainly wanna know what the values of having a reverse valve body are.

First thing you need if you want a reverse manual valve body is an automatic transmission.

No, you cannot, they are for autos only.

I can best describe it as an automatic that NEEDS to be told what gear to be in.

If you leave the shifter in 3rd. Stop the car, you'll be taking off in third.

The biggest reason I don't like to refer to them as a clutchless manual is because it still has a torque convertor. So it's pretty much the same transmission but does not shift on it's own. The reverse is refering to the forward gears. Originally it's P, R, N, D and the lower gears, like 2 and 1.
On a reverse manual valve body your shifter will now be P, R, N, 1, 2 and 3.
