Stock '07 auto w/twins runs 11.75 @ 123 mph!
Wanted to let fans of twin setups know about this deal so I started a new thread. Irecently had the new Team Performance Products "Heritage Twin Turbo System" installed on my stock '07 GT. This kit comes with two Garrett dual ball bearing 54 mm turbos which are mounted down around the transmission. A carbon fiber belly pan comes with the kit to keep water and road debris out of the air cleaners. The only thing we added to the car was a single GT supercar fuel pump. We only had time for two dyno pulls before we had to leave for Florida so the shop made sure it was nice and safe for the initial outing at FFW Orlando. When I say my car is stock.....I mean 100% dead bone friggin' stock as delivered from Ford. Richard Lelsz of Strictly Performance did the initial tune. We are at 11.5 A/F ratio, 10 degrees timing, and 8 pounds of boost. At Orlando the car ran a best of 11.75 @ 123.58 mph in a 3865 pound Mustang GT. We need to work on the tune a little to get more low speed power but a converter is essential for drag racing. For street driving.....not needed. Turbos come up on boost around 2500 rpm and pull all the way through the traps. Idrove the car home from Strictly and in Orlando to get the D/R's mounted. Unless you put your foot down you don't even know the turbos are there. Smooth as a stocker. Lots of fun when you find a freeway on-ramp though.
I feel that with a converter and some additional tuning we should be able to lay down a solid 11-teen or 11-twenty pass at close to 125 mph. Maybe even a "10"! Then drive it out the gates with the A/C and stereo going while getting 24 mpg on the way home. Pricing on the kit has not been finalized yet but should be soon. I'll have pictures of the setup on my car in a few days. Team Performance has the car on the way to their shop in California so we can install a converter and roll bar. Maybe gears. Check them out at www.team-ppi.com

Pics please . Will the pricing be posted on the website?
That's awsome!!! Any pricing on this kit yet?
Or you could soil the track with motor oil. That's a lot of power you're making to trap 123 in an auto. 10* max timing? Are you sure that's correct? That isn't even close to what the big 3 twin screw companies are running for timing. I assume that timing equals power with a turbo just like a supercharger. So how much HP?

SDdon't forget to mention the fine work Matt did getting that thing in there!
We met over at Strictly when they finished your car. Actualy the car had beenfinished a little earlier I think we were finishing a case then. I've got the blue 2007 GT with the cobra motor in it (sig pic).
Sorry I had to leave early that night. Glad to hear the car ran well for you!

Absolutely! Matt is one of the best in the business. Typically I wouldn't let anyone but Greg Flatt touch any of my cars but Matt and Richard did a great job on this install. Everyone at Strictly was cheering when I called Richard on Saturday after the initial 11.84/122 pass. I can tell when Richard is excited and when he is B/S'ing. He was excited about this deal.
Can't wait to get the car back from California so we can get the guages and some other goodies in the car.
