Is this product safe to use with our engines and any aftermarket tunes we might have loaded?

I believe Heet is nothing more than alcohol. Alcohol absorbs water in the fuel system and carries it into the combustion chamber where it is burned along with the gasoline. If you use it per the directions, it is probably safe to use in our engines.

Its pure alcohol.
It effects octane levels.

Increases octane levels I'm assuming? Maybe I need to read more about this stuff. I've been told it's a good idea to put one bottle of this stuff through your car every winter once it starts getting real cold out.

It lowers the octane rating. Thats why E85
does not get as good gas milage as petrol.
SeaFoam is better and does the same thing
without the corrosive side effects of the Alcohol.
I run a can thru the fuel system every 7K or so miles.

I wouldn't use it unless you suspect you have a problem. If you drive frequently AND keep your tank as full as is reasonable I wouldn't worry about it. If you're storing your car, keep the tank full and don't worry about it.

You don't take aspirin just in case you might get a headache, do you?

How can you tell if you have water in the gasoline?

FYI, alcohol actually raises octane, not lowers it. The reason E85 gets lower mileage is alcohol has less energy per pound than gasoline.

Yea, I did some extensive research after posting and found that to be true.
