Default 07 GT, trouble starting

I have been looking around but I haven't had any luck finding an answer.
I live in Canada so the Mustang is sitting for the winter. But I brushed her off so I could install a few toys I got for Christmas.
Here's the problem, when I went to start it,(it had been plugged in for a few hours but it wasn't that cold out) it sounded like the started was cutting in and out rapidly on a single key turn(a few seconds). Doesn't sound like battery is weak, maybe a loose connection other than on the battery itself.
I had similar issues with it in the summer when I didn't have the clutch pedal down to the floor, but it would only kick out once on a key turn. I would push the clutch to the floor and then she would start right up.
Any info would be appreciated

if you haven't already, i would put a battery
charger on it until fully charged then try
again. to me it does sound like it might be
the battery.

Im no tech but my 07 GT was dead yesterday morning after sitting for 3 or 4 days. Here in Chicago we had highs in the low teens for those days. For our year cars the battery is just about at its average life span. (assuming you have an 06 build date too) Long story short i suggest what hammeron said. Maybe a new battery too, the motocrap ones only have 500 CCA which is faily average especially for the prolonged cold temps you get in canada.

I had the car inside and had the garage set +15C, and I still had this problem. But I'll throw the charger on there and see whats happens.
Thanks,
Jim

Apparently there are issues where the shaker radio will leech your battery if you don't turn it off before shutting the car off.. Haven't encountered that myself yet, but from what I have gathered reading through all these threads with trouble starting.

Default Update

ok, checked the battery and it is working fine.

Tried to start it again today and was successful. But something is up, the starter kicked in and out a few times but it did end up starting.

I noticed the clutch was making and loud clunking noise when I released the pedal (out of gear) and this happened each time I did it.

How is the clutch pedal connected to the trans (just wondering if it is electronic) and where is the connection that tells the starter not to turn if the clutch pedal isn't pushed down?

Thanks,

Jim
